Originally, Kalamkari is a traditional method of hand painting on cotton or silk fabric. The motifs used ranged from floral patterns to Indian mythological themes and were applied to the fabrics using elaborate handwork and plant dyes.
Even today, these motifs are still stunningly beautiful and have lost none of their topicality. However, modern printing processes are now used to produce them and the original Kalamkari painting can only be found as a special and rare art form.
Our 'Bhavini' sari is covered in a beautiful floral pattern and ends in the pallu with an elaborately designed bird motif - a truly magical, traditional sari that is also incredibly practical because it is made from an easy-care cotton blend.
You will look absolutely fine at any small celebration in this sari. It is just as suitable for the Diwali celebration as it is for an invitation to a family reunion. Or maybe you've been wanting to own a sari for a long time but don't want to spend a fortune on it? Then this is the perfect one for you.
The delivery includes a sari that is approximately 5.5 m long. This includes a piece of fabric in a matching color that you can use to sew a blouse or have someone sew it for you. You can also wear any other top that matches the color.
